Hey there. How've you guys been? So tonight I went to the basketball game and unfortunately, we lost. No one really could get in a rhythm and get enough points. Luke only had 7 points which is basically unheard of. But just because we weren't doing well doesn't mean me, Marissa and Luisa couldn't find a way to laugh and have fun. There was an EXTREMELY obese ref and we found instant joy whenever he tried to run down the court with every part of his body flapping around. He also had a balding strip that made him look like a skunk. There was also a male cheerleader on the other team's squad. But you could not tell that there was a man down there cheering. It was the first time I've ever seen a male cheerleader at a high school in my life. The best part was that he kept losing grip on the girl he was lifting. One time they even dropped her and it looked quite painful. Both of these elements put together almost took away from the fact that there was a basketball game going on and that Luke was playing. The best part of the night though was at the end when me and Luisa were just talking about random things. I told her about my plan to build a massive blanket fort in the basement from my birthday party next and that I read a How To on wikiHow on how to build the best one. We laughed about that for a while until I remembered that I had read a How To on how to move out of the ghetto. We both just started busting up laughing about all the steps that it stated. Like making sure you were comfortable leaving your friends behind and that you've saved up enough money to leave. The best one, however, was having confidence in yourself and your decision. And then the conversation spun into this theory about how in the ghettos there must be like support groups for all the people who want to leave and they follow this How To guide like AA follows the 12 Steps. At each meeting they would discuss the next step on the guide and at the end they would all get on a bus that they rented with the money they saved up as a group and drive out of the ghetto to their new homes in nicer parts of the city. While on the topic of How-To pages, I also came across one on how to throw the best Twilight themed slumber party, one on how to make a princess crown, how to deal with a boyfriend who is over obsessed with your butt, how to find a stuffed animal companion, how to inspire people, and how to know if your name is nice. I suppose there is a How-To page for everything.
~Today I got A Great and Terrible Beauty from the library at school. All of my friends have read it and really liked it so I'm hoping that it is good. I finally finished Scarlett. It was ok. I don't know how it compares to Gone With The Wind because I haven't read it but I did finally see the movie all the way through. Well it's getting late and I have a lot of things to do tomorrow. Write Soon!
