Six Simple Words Are Not Enough

Hello there. Look! Two posts in less than a week! I'm so proud of myself. I'm really keeping up on these. Anyway, I have been having a pretty eventful last half of this week. Yesterday I was informed that I am planning my friend Rachel's "wedding" to Jay for May 29th. I think that all of this is his subtle way to say "I like you", but what do I know about popular guys who could date whoever they want. I am all for a relationship between them. They'd be adorable. But Ms. Rachel already has a lover so... Nevertheless, their "wedding" is going to be beautiful. The colors are aqua and a dark lavender. They are gong to be married in the St. Louis Cathedral in NoLa and the theme is what I like to call "Peacock Princess", mainly because peacock feathers are a huge part of the design aesthetic and she will look gorgeous in her Pnina Tornai lace gown. I see it as practice for my future career. All the rest of my friends think I'm crazy for getting so enthused about this.

Today in English class we were talking about those "six-word memoirs" and we were supposed to write some of our own. Well, my class didn't get to writing any because we had to go to an assembly about the consequences of drinking and driving. For a school assembly, it was actually pretty good. They guy who was telling his life story to us had a really bad issue with drugs and alcohol as a teen and was involved in a car crash that left him paralyzed at 26. The best part was when he rolled out into the middle of the gym after the video was over. We were all like, "OMG, that's the guy!". Even though I would never even consider something as dumb as drinking and driving, it was a really touching video and he was a really nice guy who happened to look like Brett Michaels.
But back to six-word memoirs. I did end up writing a couple just for fun. I think that we are going to spend some time writing them tomorrow in class but here's a sneak peak for you guys.
  • Do I believe in love?... Yeah
  • Many planned, but not my own.
  • Sights set high. Accomplishments are few.
  • Chivalry, dead? I don't think so.
  • I just want my own Nathan. (OTH reference)
  • Six simple words are not enough.
I think that they are all pretty rad. While I'm on an OTH note, it got renewed!!!!!!! New episodes start in the fall! Super excited for this! I also decided that I am going to get the words "faith" and "love" tattooed on the inside of my wrists in Hindi when I go to college. I'd do it now, but then I'd have to move out... I also have become a bit of a soccer enthusiast due to my friend McMillian. Go Chelsea!! This is getting long, Write Soon!
