Half Of A Century, Written In Words

Hey guys! How you been? I have been really good. The weather has been really good and Operation Handbag Appliance went off without a hitch except for today. I couldn't find the griddle plates for the paninni press so I couldn't make food today. But it's okay. We had a great day still. This week has been one of the best of my life. No lie. Here's what we made all of this week:
Monday: Yogurt Parfaits
Tuesday: Grilled Cheese
Wednesday: Belgium Waffles
Thursday: Hot Dogs
Friday: Fried Children

We didn't really eat fried children today. That's just a joke from study hall complements of Austin. We were supposed to have egg McMuffins but, alas it didn't happen.

Glee this week was fantastic!!!  I loved it. The episode was so raw and beautiful. It was the epitome of  great television. I think that they should have an episode like that every couple episodes of super-drama.

On American Idol the theme was Shania Twain songs and Shania was their mentor. I didn't get to watch because I was at driving school but I watched the elimination show and Siobhan went home. I am not extremely opposed to this because I have genuinely stopped caring about this season. Lee and Crystal are the only good ones left so as long as one of them wins I'll be okay.

Just because I can, here's what we talked about today in study hall.

Oklahoma (The Musical), Munchkin from The Wizard Of Oz, Midgets, Peter Dinklage, Pregnant Midgets, Whoopi Goldberg, Olympics, National Anthems, Freshmen, Demon Snakes, Food, High School Gay Lovers, Menage A Trois & Music, Twilight & Tranny Voices, Spice Girls, Math Problems, Brokeback Auditorium, National Geographic: Gay Lover Edition, food & Macs, -Silence-, Random Songs, Making Boys Feel Awkward, Rachel's love For Mr. Smith, Various Animals, Quest For the Bathroom, Liz & Lice, Rachel pulls a sexual connotation out of "Jack Twist", Mariama's bad hearing, Z&C Together Again, Liz Returns, the Freshman on the left is a Jungle Cat, Spice Girls frighten Charles, Lip gloss and Cowboys, unnecessary British Accents, Songs About Lotion, Sexual harassment, Text Forwards, Spa Day Parties, Fried Children, Fried Prostitutes, Jake Gyllenhaal, Bleach Blonde freshman on the prowl, Regis Philbin= The Soup, Young Freshman searches for group to a-sex-pt him, Adventures, Sexual Harassment, Mariama broke Austin's poor heart.
-Wow, that's a lot of stuff. The weekend is looking very promising. The warm days are my bestest friends. Oh! The reason this post is titled like so is because this is my 50th post!! I found that to be a really exciting milestone. Write Soon!

A Surprise In Five Parts

Hello to all! How are you? It is all rainy today. And the weather people think that there will be more rain tomorrow :( I have been pretty good these past couple of days. Nothing extreme. Yesterday we went out to my sister's new house to hang out with her. I have to say it is the nicest one they've ever lived in. Most of their other houses/apartments have been a little sketchy in my opinion. But, on to the focus of this post and the reason for the title.

So my lovely friend Mariama has this thing about how my other friend Rachel's purse is a bunch of different appliances. In total so far it is a toaster, a refrigerator and a stove top. This is due to the fact that Rachel always has food in her purse and is always randomly eating it during class. So Rachel and I, the clever and oh so hilarious people that we are, decided that every day this week we would make some sort of food during our study hall that we all have together. With her being completely unaware. Today's food of choice was yogurt parfaits. I brought the berries, Rachel brought the yogurt and the cups. The only issue was that we couldn't stop giggling long enough for Mariama to look away and so it wasn't really a surprise. However, she did say that it was the most random thing to ever happen to her. This is a start. This whole concept came to us while she was hanging out at my house before driving school on Thursday. The best part is our study hall advisor is totally cool with it. Tomorrow it only gets more and more random and obscure.

Tonight is finally the return of One Tree Hill after a 6-week hiatus! I cannot wait. they closed the episode last week with Haley's mom dieing and it was so sad. The info on the TV guide says that Haley is going to be struggling with this a lot and I don't blame her. I mean it's her mom! Also, Skills is going to find out about Mouth and Lauren and that should be dramatic and Brooke and Jullian are going to find out some life changing news. I have no idea what that could mean but I know it doesn't mean babies. She can't have those.

Glee is tomorrow and the episode sounds really good. I read that all the critics say it's the best episode of the whole season and if they were going to submit an episode to the Emmy's this should be the one. That makes me even more excited than usual. Kristin Chenowith's character is also coming back and Kurt's dad has a role in it too. Of course, for about the first five minutes I'll probably still be in the car driving home from driving school. It was supposed to be my last session but because I missed that one last Saturday, it'll only be my "7th". But I shouldn't have to wait too long to take my last one. They start a new class cycle on Thursday so I'll probably be taking my class next Thursday. Umm, I think that's all I have. OH! I'm taking a major Spanish test tomorrow. I'm a little worried. I also just finished Up In The Air. LOVED IT! I recommend it to all. Write Soon!

Insert Your Clever Name For This Post Here

Well hello there darlings. How've you been? I have been doing pretty good. Even though this week seems like it has flown by, it has been a good week. Mainly because I missed 2 days of class for school related activities. Horray for being a member of scholastic groups and field trips! Really quick though, my bff Zachary has a new blog that is all about his life and all the fun things that he does. I am really excited for where this project of his is going to go and I think you should check it out for yourselves. http://textualinteractions.blogspot.com/ is where it's at. I think you'll enjoy it.

So this week was the Madonna episode on Glee. I think I enjoyed the episode more than the music. I personally am not a huge Madonna fan but I don't hate it. The whole episode was mostly revolving around the sexual relationships between characters. It broke my heart to see that Finn actually slept with Santana. She is such a hooker and I know that she doesn't actually like him. Truly though, the only thing on my  mind is how this is going to affect Finn and Rachel's relationship in the long run because he did lie to her about it. I love that that is my main concern. It makes me sound like a nerd.

On Wednesday, I went on a field trip with my Spanish class to see a flamenco show. It was really neat to see all the different types of flamenco and all the technique that goes with it. Before the show we stopped at the North Market for lunch and it was delicious. I got roasted lamb from this Greek place. If you have no idea what the North Market is, it is a place in Columbus that has food from all over the world inside.
On Thursday, I went on the speech team trip because apparently I am now a member. I was asked if I wanted to do it on Monday, picked a poem on Wednesday night and then read it in front of judges on Thursday morning. I thought I did pretty well for only having it for a day. I didn't place or anything but that doesn't really matter to me seeing as it was my first time. Next year I'm thinking of doing Dramatic Literature and reading one of my favorite quotes from One Tree Hill, Brooke's toast she gives at Nathan and Haley's second reception.

I am really close to finishing my classes for driving school! I only have 3 left and then I can take my written and in-car tests and get my license. Yay! Not much has been going on with school except more projects in U.S. Studies but that is typical. Even though he said that the project we just turned in would be our last major project. What a liar! Ohh well. Write Soon!

Spectacular, Spectacular... No Words In Your Vernacular!

Hello loves. How are you doing? Over the past week I've been pretty good.  Friday, the accompanist came in and I played through my piece with her a couple times. It went much, much better than the last time. I played through it a lot better and I was extremely less nervous than I was the first time. I guess with time you become more comfortable. Saturday, I was supposed to go to driving school for my fourth session but I completely forgot about it until 15 minutes after it started. I still get to go to all of my other scheduled courses and probably one on the 6th of May to make up the one I missed. On the 6th I'll also probably take my final and if I pass then I can take my test for my license when I finish my driving. The whole weekend, however, I heard nothing but jokes from my family, mainly my brother, about how I missed class. Not a fun time.

Because of the lovely Charlie McDonnell, I have started watching Doctor Who and I like it quite a bit. I just finished the 1st season of the new series today. I've decided I want a TARDIS to travel around in. That would be a lot of fun. I did watch the first episode of the 2nd season with the new Doctor and I must say I like him a lot better. He's much cuter than the 9th incarnation of the Doctor. I am excited to see what this season holds!

Since I spaced and forgot to post on Wednesday about Glee, here it is! I absolutely LOVED the return episode. They tore apart all the relationships that we as fans had put together, but I suppose you have to tear things apart before you can put them back together correctly. Both the director of Vocal Adrenaline and Jesse (the male lead and Rachel's new beau) are up to no good. I can feel it in my bones. Tomorrow is the Madonna episode and that looks super rad. American Idol and 16 & Pregnant are also on tomorrow but I'm not that excited for those. I also have driving school tomorrow. I promise, I won't forget about this one. For some reason I cannot remember anything that I have to do on weekends anymore. Maybe it's because I have no set schedule on the weekends and during the week I do. Maybe I should start setting my alarm clock for a later time on the weekends. That way I still get up but not at the crack like for school. That sounds like a plan to me :) Write Soon!

Do you have the Gleebi-jeebies?

Hello my darlings. How are you? I am doing pretty good. Yesterday it was sunny but today it is all dark and grey. However, this doesn't bother Me because today is the day that one of the shining beacons of hope returns to my life. That's right, Glee is finally back tonight! All of today I haven't been able to contain my excitement for tonight. I have my second session of driving school tonight from 5:30-8:45 so I will be home in time for it at 9:30. I will miss part of Idol but I'm not concerned about that. Even though Adam Lambert is the mentor and I have no idea what the theme is. I'll be home in time to see the recap and that's all that matters.

On Sunday we went shopping in Mansfield and I bought a bunch of new clothes. Mainly shorts, and one tank top. I also got a new wallet/clutch that is super cute and matches my purse better than my other one. I got to drive home from the mall and that was uneventful. I just can't wait until driving school is over and I get my license so I can drive around where ever I please. I don't have any huge plans for the rest of the week. I'll definitely post tomorrow about Glee's first episode back. Write Soon!

Can I Get A Little Southern Hospitality?

Hello there darlings. I expect you have had a marvelous day. Mine was rather boring. BUT, today was my first day of driving school *claps*. I have 7 more sessions throughout the next three weeks on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Then I start driving with an instructor and then I can get my license. Pending I pass everything. Which hopefully shouldn't be a problem. Because Rachel is in my class with me, we have decided to turn it into a pirate adventure of sorts because we haven't been on one in a while. We call it, Steering Your Vessel 101. I think it's quite a nifty name. So in coming weeks you will hear about all the fun times that it shall entail.

Maybe it's because I am a little eccentric that I find myself being drawn to everything about southern life. I want to have a big plantation style house somewhere and I absolutely love derby hats. I actually Googled them today and this one was my favorite.

The only sad part is that it is a $400 hat. Which is reasonable because it is hand-crafted, but it puts owning one out of my reach. I also got curious during the week so I Googled engagement rings and I liked this one the best.
Of all the ones I liked, this is one of the only ones my sister liked too. She is a fan of very large diamonds. She watches too many episodes of Real Housewives.

Even though I am also a believer in the "Bigger Is Better" policy when it comes to diamonds, I loved the simplicity of this ring. I would wear it by itself without a diamond as my wedding ring. I adore the whole braided look of it. Of course, I have to have a little bling so I'd probably end up getting tiny stones placed in something like this.

Maybe I am a little over the top, but I just think I know what I want from my life. I will say that even though my expectations are a little extravagant, I don't care. Ten years from now I see myself living my definition of a perfect life with my definition of a perfect man and all my beautiful children. You may not think it'll happen for me, but I do. And isn't believing in yourself half of the battle? I'd love to know you're thoughts on all of my life goals expressed in this post. Believe me, there is a more detailed version if you want to hear it. Heck, even if you don't want to, I may talk about it later. Write Soon!

Everyday Is A Sunday Evening

Hey guys! How you doin'? I've been doing okay. It's been rainy here so Me and Sarah have been holed up in my room playing Sims. We have restarted the Jersey project and everyone is getting jobs in the criminal career thus putting them in the "Mafia". And I have decided that my character's marriage needs to be dissolved and I'll be adding a new man to my life. You guessed it, Landon has been added into the world of Sims and I am having an affair with him. Even though I have three kids and am comfortable financially, I am tired of being in a relationship with Andy when in real life I am over him.

Last night on American Idol no one was eliminated because the judges used the save on Big Mike. On ANTM, they sent home Tatiana after their photo shoot about fake things.

Today is my last day of spring break but I don't care. I'm happy that I'll be going back school to be with my friends. The only thing I have accomplished over the course of the week is that I am signed up for driving school! I have to go in tomorrow and sign the contract and mom has to pay and then I start. My first class is Saturday morning and the best part is that I am in class with Rachel. The one worry I had was that I'd be in there all by myself. But now that I don't have to worry about that I can concentrate on getting my license. Write Soon!

Bulletproof

Hello and welcome to another post from yours truely. I have been having a pretty good day other than the fact that I was attacked my a wasp today. I was in the feezer getting ice cream and I heard it above my head so I shook my hair and it stung Me right on the shouler. So I am now laying in bed with a bag of ice on my shoulder to keep it from swelling and itching. Other than that, today has been really great. I spent a good deal of time in the sun just laying out. I worked through my trio and solo a little and watched a mediocre episode of Idol and a dramatic episode of 16 and Pregnant. Thus, we proceed into the world of television.

On Idol it was Beetles week. Personally, this is one of my least favorite weeks every year. Just because no one can do it better than the original. Like always the same four people did well. Lee, Crystal, Siobhan and Big Mike were the only ones who stuck out to Me yet again with everyone else doing alright. I'm not entirely sure who will be going home but as long as it's not Lee I'll be okay. He's my fav :) The highlights of tonight to me were all the Glee previews (just ONE WEEK until it returns to us!) and the bagpipe player who just randomly popped up at the end of Lee's performance. Simon may have hated it, but I loved it.

Our teen mom this week was Leah and she had twin girls named Aliannah and Aleeah. Her whole relationship with her baby daddy was complicated because he was a rebound from her ex of 3 years and they had only been together a month before she got pregnant. They fought all the time about everything and they are no longer together which means that we are 3/8 on supportive baby daddys. If there is anything I have learned from this show, it is to not sleep with people. Babies are a lot of trouble that a 16 year old girl cannot handle on her own. Just for fun, you all should leave Me a comment about your thoughts on sexual relationships outside of marriage.

Just because I am so excited about Glee's return I have to give it a tiny paragraph down here filled with love. I have put this show up on the importance level of One Tree Hill which is saying a lot. The characters are no longer just on the screen, but are in my heart. I love Finnchel as much as I love Naley, and I hate Quinn and Terri as much as I hate Dan. Naley and Dan are the polar extremes of my emotional spectrum, which is a little sad seeing as they are tv characters but nevertheless, it is what it is. I just cannot wait until next Tuesday when I can sit down on my couch and reimmerse myself into their world. Write Soon!

Happy Easter!

Hello there darlings! How are you all doing tonight? I am doing pretty good. The weather has been really great these past couple days. Saturday we went to the Easter Vigil so that Sunday we could sleep in and eat a lot. After dinner on Sunday, Owen came over to hang out and ended up staying until 8:30 . We've basically decided that we would be perfect for each other if we ever got married. Which wouldn't be that unlikely. If we felt any sort of amorous feelings for eachother. He would do all the grilling and I would make the pies. We would have a house up in this area and a large plantation house in Georgia that we would turn into a Bed and Breakfast that we would leave under the charge of someone else at all times except the summer. All of our little children would be beautiful and we'd never get tired of each other. He is one of the best friends I have and I wouldn't trade a single day I spend with him for anything. We never run out of things to talk about and we are always having fun. In short, I adore him and am super happy to have him in my life.

Though I haven't been following the road to the championship for men's college basketball I am excited for the final tonight. Being a Tar Heel fan when it comes to basketball I really didn't have a whole lot of motivation to watch the tourney seeing as they were in the NIT but that also means that I hate Duke. Thus, I want Butler to win tonight and by a lot. So far the game is really intense and both teams are playing really good defense. I have a feeling that'll be a really close game and there isn't really a clearly defined winner at this point. My vote is Butler, but mainly because I hate Duke so much.

I am on spring break until Thursday and I have quite a lot to accomplish before I go back to school. I still need to find time to work on my trio for the fine arts night and I need to call to sign up for driving school. I'm excited for the latter of the two. The quicker I get through driving school the sooner I get my license which means one, a job and two, being able to go wherever whenever. I'm more pleased about the second part but the first one is still important. Without gas money I couldn't go wherever whenever. I will let you all know when I get my license. It will be a joyous day. Spring Break!

Hello lovelies. And how are you on this grand day? I am enjoying my spring break even though technically it's only been two days. And in those two days I have started to get a tan! This excites Me very much because I am so tired of being pale. My sister and I have been laying out on our deck for hours on end these past two days. I just love the sun. It has been close to 80 degrees lately and I am so happy that summer is practically here. I really should find some time over the next week to practice my trio for the fine arts night. Mariama, Ellen and I are working on this one and I have another that I am doing with Bree and Jess. The one with Bree and Jess I have played before and actually prepared for contest but the other one I need to work on. I also should practice my solo just to work out all the kinks and things. The weirdest thing is that I can sit down and play it with no one else in the room with no issues but when I have to play it with the accompanist, I freeze. Silly Me and my lack of self confidence.

I think that sometime this week we are going shopping in Columbus or Mansfield for things for Me to take to Costa Rica and just summer clothes in general. I have like one pair of shorts that fit after this winter. Other than that I don't think I am doing anything over break. Just laying out in the sun and hanging with my sister. Yay! Write Soon!
